Fluid Web Services ~ Animation & Video ~ Matt Taylor
Below are some of the animations and videos I've made. All of these projects were completed as part of a learning process or just for the entertainment of my family and me. I recently purchased a Canon HV20 video camera and have been making lots of videos, so expect more to show up shortly!
Most all of the videos displayed here are hosted at vimeo.com and HD quality versions of each can be found there, but if your computer is slow you might as well not try to watch the HD versions! All of the animations / videos were made using Flash, After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere.
CUTS is a brief music video made from close-up footage of shaving. For those of you hoping to see blood, the title refers more to the editing than the shave-job. The song used in the video is "Do What" by the Squirrel Nut Zippers.
MERRY XMAS 2007
is a christmas music video I made for my wife as a gift. I used After Effects and several pieces of footage of our 11 month old son, Gage, to complete the video. The song used in the video is "Good To Sea" by Pinback.
S T R A N G E R is a creepy short music/fx video made for practice and to try out a couple different fx in After Effects. The song sampled in the video is "Wayfaring Stranger" by Sixteen Horsepower.
SPOON! is a video made for a channel at vimeo.com called the "Make It Interesting" channel. The idea is to take one object and shoot footage of only it and try to make it interesting to watch. This is one of three videos I've made for this channel. The song used in the video is "Verb-That's What's Happening" by Moby.
no wind is a video
made for a channel at vimeo.com called
the "Make
It Interesting" channel. The idea is to take one
object and shoot footage of only it and try to make
it interesting to watch. This is one of three
videos I've made for this channel. This time
I tried to use narration to make it interesting.
02.17.08
is a music video I made to practice editing video elements
to match audio. The footage used is fast-motion
driving, snow covered fields, and inside a car-wash. 02.17.08 refers
to both the date the footage was shot on and the video's
running time. The song used in the video is "My
Elastic Eye" by The Chemical Brothers.
beat is another practice
video attempting to sync sound and video. In
this case I recorded my heart-beat and tried to make
it appear as though the lights in the video were pulsing
in time with the beat. The video footage is from
when there was a broken water main down the block from
me and they were trying to fix it.
Dirty Rice is yet another video experimenting
with matching video elements to a soundtrack. In
this case I used footage of my son and
myself and I chopped the footage up in time with some
zydeco music. The song used in the video
is "Boppin' The Rock" by The Clifton Chenier.
Skeleton Wood Carving
is a video made for a channel at vimeo.com called the "Make It Interesting" channel. The idea is to take one object and shoot footage of only it and try to make it interesting to watch. This is one of three videos I've made for this channel. The song used in the video is "Voodoo Lady" by Ween.
Ms. Simpson's Halloween Greeting
is an animation I made for my wife who is an English teacher
at Chenango Forks High School, NY as a surprise from
her to her students. The animation is intended
to be humerous with a spooky surprise!
Dubya and the Forefathers
is a humorous animation that picks
on President Bush and encourages people to vote. This cartoon was produced using
Flash and is an excellent example of facial animation
and photo-manipulation.
The Singing Photograph Birthday Card is an animation I made for my
sister as a birthday surprise. You may not get some
of the jokes, but you should find it humorous none the
less and it does serve as a good example of animation
and photo-manipulation skills.
WARNING:This
animation contains slight profanity !
Get Me Off by The Pets
is a wacked-out video I made in order to learn how to use Adobe After Effects. If you didn't think
I was a weirdo already you probably will after viewing this video! The song used in the video is by The Basment Jaxx and all of the animails are my family's pets.
The Destruction Polka is a video I made using footage of my sister's old house being
torn down. The song used in the video is by the Squirrel Nut Zippers.
